* I would limit such shipments to letters and legal papers and not try to ship gifts, etc. There is a long history of things taking several months by standard mail, if it gets there at all, and there is always the potential for pilfering along the way. The really best option is to find someone going to Uganda and having them take it for you but be kind and arrange for the recipient to do the retrieval once in Uganda.
