Sensitive areas are those parts of the world where to be openly Christian, especially a missionary, can cause persecution, great harm, even expulsion from the country. We are not suggesting that believers in such areas should be ashamed of the gospel.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek . Romans 1:16 ESV

"Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves" . Matthew 10:16 ESV

Those who labor in the gospel in such areas need our constant prayers and we should do nothing that would expose them unnecessarily. It should also be understood that to expose missionaries might also expose indiginous believers as well.
