Front Row: Nkwasiibwe Namugerwa Peruth, Ninsiima Prossy, Back Row: George Yawe, Sekisonzi Bosco, Sebuguzi Martin, In Uganda, teachers must have one of three credentials: a certificate, a diploma, or a degree. These represent three levels of preparation to be a teacher. At present, the staff at Covenant Junior School all have either a certificate or a diploma. None have a degree but all are working to achieve their next level. Having said this, it must also be noted that last December, when the standardized test were given, Covenant Junior School student scored third in the entire district. Many schools were below them. If you would be interested in helping with some teacher scholarship funds to help them complete their studies, we would be happy to relay those funds and provide accountability for their use.
