Donating Stocks or Bonds ~ ~ ~ ~ Including ACTI in Your Will
The African Christian Training Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization

Above are three ways to support ministry in Uganda, plus links to information for donating stocks, bonds, and including ACTI in your will.

  1. You may give via credit or debit card through the Network for Good. Simply click on the link above. It will take you to the ACTI portal page. Follow the simple instructions and be certain to clearly indicate the purpose of the donation. If you wish a donation tax receipt, include a valid email address. Gifts through the Network for Good may be anonymous (no donor info displayed) a "one time" donations or s on an automatic recurring basis.

  2. You may also use PayPal. Make sure to include your email address and clearly indicate who/what the donation is for.

  3. Use our Post Office Address listed above to either mail your personal check or have your bank send a check though their "Bill Pay" option. Again, this can be a onetime contribution or you can set up for monthly contributions. As above, clearly indicated who/what the donation is for and make sure we have your email address for receipting purposes.

Important note! When sending funds for an individual Ugandan, please make sure to include as much of the information listed below as possible. I frequently get contribution saying "For Sam in Uganda" which is not very helpful. I personally know four pastors in Uganda named Sam. It is also entirely possible that the Sam they are trying to help, is not known to me at all. This is my biggest problem in getting funds to Uganda for folks who need help. Plus I should also add, if you continually get "urgent or critical" requests from the same person, be very careful. Life there is not that fragile.

When sending funds for school fees, we prefer to send funds to an accountable person, pastor, parent, etc., rather than the school's head teacher or bursar, whom we do not know, and who have no accountability to us. It is not power that corrupts, but lack of accountability.

Please include as much of the information below that is relevant. ACTI must track the funds we send to Uganda and such funds must go to ministries or persons known to ACTI or vouched for by the donor.

  • Full Ugandan name (Not just "My friend Paul")
  • Their telephone number (either 1777-666-555 or 0777-666-555)
  • The town or village in which they live
  • If student, the school they attend
  • If someone else is handling funds for a student, include their full name and telephone number and the school attended
  • The name of their pastor
  • Any other helpful information

Make sure to add ACTItaxreceipt@aol.com to your contact list. ACTI is a 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt Organization, a Non-profit Organization in the State of Tennessee and a recognized NGO (non-governmental organization) in Uganda.

ACTI is happy to help transfer funds to valid, accountable Christian ministries in Uganda. Most funds are transferred by phone for a percentage fee which is usually less than international bank wire fees. We do not charge or deduct a fee for this help, but would appreciate a small periodic gift to ACTI.
